Club Rules & Court Policies

1. Court Etiquette
• Full tennis attire and non-marking tennis shoes must be worn on court at all times.
2. Court Reservations
• Courts must be reserved online in advance.
• A party may reserve no more than one court at a time and no more than one hour of play (Except Doubles).
• Members already on court may continue into the next play period if the court has not been reserved by members waiting courtside. They may not be displaced by members who have just completed the same play period.
• Waiting members have priority over members who have just finished playing.
3. Guests & Non-Members
• Non-members may reserve courts during Public Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Non-members wishing to play outside Public Hours will be charged a $20.00 guest fee.
• Guests of members are subject to a $10.00 fee per booking.
• Members are responsible for their guests’ fees, which must be paid online before entering the court.
4. Lessons & Coaching
• Coaching Staff have priority on Courts 1 and 4 for lessons.
• Lessons are provided only to members by the Coaching Staff.
• Juniors have priority for lessons and programs Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Members are not permitted to bring outside pros to give lessons on club courts.
5. Club Events
• Club-supported tournaments, clinics, special events, and private lessons take precedence over individual court reservations.
6. Conduct & Discipline
• The interpretation of these rules by the Director of Tennis and Operations, Coaching Staff, or Court Monitor is final and binding on all members present.
• Abusive language, harassment, intimidation, or threats of any kind are strictly prohibited. Please see the website for the full Abuse and Harassment Policy.
• All complaints must be directed in writing to the President, addressed to Banbury Tennis Club.
